Quote of the Day

"The question is not what you look at, but what you see."
- Henry David Thoreau

This quote really hit me. Especially because of all the negative things I have been focusing on lately. Which is usually the norm. But, like this quote, I can look at all the things in my life and choose to see only the bad. Or, I can look at all the things in my life and see the wonder and happiness and amazing blessings I have. Happiness is a choice- and there is always someone somewhere that has a lot bigger problems than I do. So, even when I think my day is the worst, or when I start focusing on the negative, I am going to remember to stop and smell the roses, and count my many blessings. Because my blessings are without number and my life is amazing.

Quote of the Day

"Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise."
- Herbert Kretzmer

This quote is awesome. And it speaks for itself. When life gets hard, things will always get better. Life is full of ups and downs. And I definitely wouldn't have it any other way.

Quote of the Day

"We turn not older with years, but newer every day."
- Emily Dickinson

Today marks the beginning of a new year. A chance to change. A chance to become better and set goals to reach dreams.
But, just because it's the beginning of a new year, we don't automatically change. We don't automatically become older or wiser. Those things happen over time. Each day, like the refiner's fire, molds us slowly into who we want to be. We just need to make the most of the time we have. And, relax, because life is good!

This year, I have plans to become a better me. To take time out for myself- self reflect and be who I want, and who I know I can be. It's not going to be easy. And I don't expect it to be. Challenges are good. And, "He never said it would be easy. He only said it would be worth it."
