Quote of the Day

"The longer you wait for the future, the shorter it will be."
- Loesje

As I look forward to the new year, this quote seems incredibly fitting. With all the resolutions I will make (and break) I am going to focus the most on "finding joy in the journey, now" (Thomas S. Monson).

Quote of the Day

“In family relationships love is really spelled t-i-m-e, time."

-President Dieter F. Uchtdorf

This is my reminder for the day. I feel like I am always so busy with my to dos from day to day, and I often forget that in order to really show my love to my children and husband, I need to give them my time. Too many days do I go to bed and realize that in the chaos of my day, I forgot to spend real time with my family.
Today that is going to change. I am making a goal to spend time with my kids. Playing silly games, or watching silly TV shows. Because, those are the things they will remember. Not how many times I said, "I love you," but how many times I showed them my love. Through given them my time.

Quote of the Day

"Learn from the Past,
Prepare for the Future,
Live in the Present."

-Thomas S. Monson

I love President Monson! He is so wise, and always says exactly what my Heavenly Father needs me to hear. He is, without a doubt, a Prophet of the Lord, and I am so grateful to have his words in my life. This quote stuck out to me today- Maybe because the year is coming to an end, and I have been both reflecting on 2014, and looking forward to 2015. But, in the midst of all the reflection and speculation, I forgot what matters most- living in the now. I cannot change the past, but I can live my life today, so that my future can be what I want it to be.
So, here's to 2015. A new beginning, and an exciting opportunity to start fresh, and remember to live in the Present; To live for today.

Sunday, Fun Day

Now that Bryan has a beautiful new camera, we finally got around to taking a recent family photo. I know it won't be the last family picture we take in the very near future, and I am excited to take my own pictures and learn a little more about photography!

Christmas with the Campos Clan

Wow- it's Christmas already. And, boy, what an amazing Christmas it is. Presents, and pictures and memories, oh my!!
We had to wait for the kids to wake up. And, I guess I should enjoy that while it lasts- because if they are anything like me, they will be waking up at 5:30 in the morning every year until they move out. I don't really mind. I still wake up early, and have trouble sleeping on Christmas Eve. The Magic of Christmas is still alive and well inside my heart.
Now that the presents have been opened, the pictures taken, and the memories captured, I am sitting in my recliner reflecting on the first Christmas. There wasn't any wrapping paper. No tree or ribbons or lights. No extravagant gifts, toys or frivolities. There was only the greatest gift that has ever been given. The Savior, Christ the Lord. His humble beginning made way for my glorious eternity. Without Him, I cannot return and live in Heaven with my family and Heavenly Father. Everything that has been and will be, whether in my life, or in the lives of everyone around me, is only possible through Jesus Christ.
So, today, amid the hustle and happiness of little children and beautiful presents, I thank my Heavenly Father for that first Christmas gift. And I thank my Savior, my Eldest Brother, for coming into the world for me. His death gave me life. And, through Him, I can live forever.
Merry Christmas, Everyone!
Wishing you lots of love and happiness this blessed day!

snow, Snow, SNOW!

And the snow just keeps on falling! Big, wet, fluffy flakes of happiness. (at least for me- I'm not the one outside shoveling...)
What better way to spend the day after Christmas, than inside my warm home, gazing out my picture window at a blanket of snow? Especially since I get to spend it with my family! Kids playing with their toys, Bryan contemplating hunting, and me blogging to my hearts' content.
Life is good.
I think it's time we get a snow blower...
